There’s a difference between ‘The Blessing’ and the Symptoms or effects of Blessings. Pr.10.22

Pro. 10:22

²² The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Gen.1:28

²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

The Blessing is the spiritual component of God that attracts our physical desires.

Many people pursue the effects of the Blessing instead of positioning themselves to connect with the Blesser to encounter the Blessing and reap the effects of the Blessing. Once you’re in tune with the Blesser, you cannot miss the Blessing.

Lack of understanding of the Blessing is why people struggle.

God relates with us on the basis of the covenant,  he shows us the conditions and the provisions. If you fulfil the conditions, it triggers the provisions.

Joel.2:23-25

²³ Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

²⁴ And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

²⁵ And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you

The channel for the release of the Blessing is the rain, and the platform for provoking the Blessing is the covenant.

What’s unique about the Blessing?

1. It terminates dry season.

Ps.1:1-3

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

² But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper

2. It secures generational order of Blessings. Ps.112:1-3

3. It secures access to light in darkness

Ps.112:4

⁴ Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

4. It secures supernatural Insight.

5. It renders our enemies useless.

Ps. 112:10

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Gen.32:29

²⁹ And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

 

How do I come under the Blessing of the Lord?

1. A proven new birth experience

Acts 3:26 

⁶ Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Gal.3:13-14

¹³ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

¹⁴ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

2. Through Obedience of faith. Obedience connects you with the commanded Blessing

3. Through the alter of prayer 

Gen.32:28-30

²⁸ And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

²⁹ And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

James 5:17-18

¹⁷ Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

¹⁸ And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

4. Through tithing of God’s Blessing. . You cannot be compromising on tithing and still be expecting the Blessing.

Mal.3:10-11

¹⁰ Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

¹¹ And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

5. Through kingdom advancement giving.

Phil.4:16

¹⁶ For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

6. Through the mystery of first fruit.

Eze.44:30

³⁰ And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
