It is your understanding that makes you outstanding in life and destiny.
Deut. 32:9-11
9 For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the place of His inheritance.
10 “He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the [a]apple of His eye.
11 As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings,
Being alive without being led by the holy ghost is like being an orphan.
Divine direction is a vital makeup to like and destiny.
Pro. 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall [a]direct your paths
Misdirection can be very costly and very deadly. Don’t act too tough for God to control, your brain is too small to know what’s ahead of you, so you need guidance from God.
Isa. 58:11, 14.
11 The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail
14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Isa. 48:21
21 And they did not thirst When He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them; He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.
What is divine direction?
Divine means Godly and heavenly. Divine direction is God himself leading you to your place of destiny. You need divine direction to avoid guess work, trial & error. You need divine direction because God’s way is different.
Isa. 55:9
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts
Divine Guidance is not popular. The ways of God are not common nor always appealing.
Pro. 16:25
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Isa. 55:8
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord
What to know about divine direction
1. We have a glorious destiny in life.
Rom. 8:25,30,31
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
2Pet. 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue
2. We’re redeemed to reign as kings here on earth.
Rev. 5:10
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth
The next after being born again is to seek for divine direction.
Ps 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever
Following divine guidance is a choice.
Deut 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live
Cost of Misdirection: It brings frustration and regret like the case of Jonah.
Jonah 1:2,3
2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord
Jonah 2:1-2,10
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
Wonders Of Divine Direction
- Divine direction guarantees divine presence.
Rom. 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
2. Divine direction triggers supernatural breakthrough.
Isa. 48:21
And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
3. Divine direction renders our enemies helpless. In this world of darkness, light is key to a world of open doors. No door can be shut against a ‘lighted’ personality.
Psa. 23:1,5
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
In the world we live in, light is the key to open doors.
Isa. 1:1-3
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
God’s presence is the key to open doors.
John 12:35
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
What do we do to continually enjoy open doors?
1. Be born again and remain so
1John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
2. Continue to work in the fear of God.
Gen. 39:2,21
2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian
21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Gen. 42:18
18 And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God
3. Lay hold on the right word concerted doors that you want open for you.
Mat. 16:19
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Never allow the devil to struggle with your mind.
Rev. 3:7
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
4. Remain in love with God
John 14:21
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
5. Be committed to following God’s leading. Acknowledge your helplessness
Pro. 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
6. Enter into a covenant to keep serving him as a way of life.
2chron.15:15,19.
15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about
19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
